This ingenious intercom kit has replaced the traditional clumsy internal handset with your own landline or even your mobile phone by using a SIM card installed in the external panel. Never again will you miss a visitor as you can answer the intercom from anywhere in the world.

How it works:

1. The visitor presses the call button on the external panel
2. The panel, using the GSM network, dials the number stored on your phone (if there is no answer or the line is busy it will dial the next stored number)
3. When the call is answered by you, speech and control options are available so you can speak to your visitor and let them in

GRANT ACCESS TO OTHERS – LET THEM PHONE YOUR GATE TO OPEN THEM

Additional access control features are available including allowing a select number of callers to phone the panel to open the gate, meaning that you can just phone your gates to open them. This does not take any credit from the SIM card as the intercom rejects the call instead of answering it.

The Videx intercom system is programmable either using your PC or by SMS text which makes it really simple to set up and make changes if necessary.

NOTE: The kit does not include a SIM card. If you want to use a pay as you go SIM then these are readily available from mobile phones shops and are inexpensive and sometimes free, you can also use a contract SIM card. We recommend you choose a network that has the most coverage for your area and also set up an automatic top up to avoid losing the use of your intercom by running short on credit.
